Just 250 cases of organically farmed grapes from 2 parcels. One parcel is declassified, young vines in Gevrey Chambertin and one is just north of the Village designation with 50+ year old vines. Treated with the same respect as the Village wine, this is not a typical Bourgogne rouge, If you can find it, buy it for a special occasion. With organically grown grapes, with native yeast, aged for 6 months in oak.
Gevrey-Chambertin Village
Pinot Noir

With dark cherry fruit and a complex minerality of earth, wet tobacco, mushroom and leather. The supple, medium bodied palate has balanced tannins that conclude in a serious, lingering finish that offers great depth. A powerful Village level wine.

This does not have the “Vieilles Vignes” on the label but it is still made from old vines, over 40+ years, from meticulously selected parcels with ideal microclimates and terroir. 70% new oak with low toast, the power of this Village level wine cannot be underestimated. With organically grown grapes, with native yeast, aged for 16 months in oak.
Gevrey-Chambertin “Vieilles Vignes”
Pinot Noir

With robust dark fruit flavors, there is noticeably more volume and density on the palate with firmly structured tannins and a finish with a hint of bitter cherry pit, liquorice, and forest floor. This is a rustic old-school effort that is expressly built-to-age for more than a decade.

Morey Saint Denis, 1er Cru Les Millandes
Pinot Noir

Black cherry and plum with pungent earth and forest floor scents. A mineral-inflected wine with wet stone and wood that integrates well into the muscular frame. A persistent finish with a touch of rusticity, this cool vintage offers up a raspy wine that promises a great future.

Over 50 year-old vines, from an ideal parcel, 0.3 hectares, just across the road from the Grand Cru, Clos Saint Denis. 100% new oak with low toast for 18 months, made from organically grown grapes, with native yeast fermentation.
Chambolle Musigny, 1er Cru Les Baudes
Pinot Noir

Aromas of wild berries, plum, violet and spice, with moderate wood influence. The palate introduces a sleek medium bodied wine with savory tertiary layers, giving way to a powerful, punchy finish, with balance and freshness. An already pleasing wine that will continue to excite.

Perfect exposure, directly at the base of Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru. 100% new oak with low toast for 18 months, made from organically grown grapes, with native yeast fermentation. With less than 200 cases made, Sérafin produces one-of-a-kind expressions from their tiny parcels that showcase the nuance and intrigue of great Burgundy.
Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru “Le Fonteny”
Pinot Noir

An intensely clean and refined nose of cherry and cassis with spice and coco nib. The palate displays good richness but with plenty of youthful austerity on the even more firmly structured finish. Plenty of minerality and sapidity in the sneaky long finish, Fonteny requires extended aging to reveal its full personality.

From a 0.33 hectare parcel with little topsoil, it sits just to the north of the Grand Cru Ruchottes and just above the hill to the west of Les Corbeaux, as the Grand Cru hill bends inside the combe of the mountain, this site sees good air flow while retaining the warmth of the eastern slope, an ideal microclimate.
Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru “Les Corbeaux”
Pinot Noir

More layered flavors of dense red fruits coat the intense mid-palate density, displaying the beginnings of elegance with a floral nuance that will develop with time. An overtly austere, linear finish reflects the pedigree of this walled, old-vine parcel.

From the original Clos of Corbeaux, this 0.45 hectare parcel of old vines is surrounded by an ancient wall because the soil here is a perfect balance of clay, limestone, and rock. 100% new oak with low toast for 18 months, made from organically grown grapes, with native yeast fermentation. An epic wine for the cellar.
Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru “Les Cazetiers”
Pinot Noir

The nose reflects cassis, dark currant and earth, with good ripeness and a discreet hint of wood. Distinct notes of smoked game lead to a rich palate with the deep minerality broadening into a brooding finish that will continue to develop over a long period of time.

One of the most highly regarded wines from the estate and the Lieu-Dit of Les Cazetiers. The vines are between 60-85 years old and the parcel is 0.32 Ha. 100% new oak with low toast for 19 months, made from organically grown grapes, with native yeast fermentation.
Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru
Pinot Noir

A relatively deep nose, ripe yet wonderfully fresh with aromas of cassis, black cherry, humus, underbrush, smoke and the classic sauvage notes of a good Charmes. The medium bodied palate is refined with a surprisingly juicy and lush texture. A lingering finish with good focus that will develop perfectly with time.

The top cuvee from Sèrafin from just 0.31 ha split into two parcels, half in Charmes Chambertin and half in Mazoyères Chambertin. 70 year-old vines, made from organically grown grapes with native yeast fermentation, aged in 100% new oak with low toast for 19 months.
