Pelaverga Piccolo
With great aromatic qualities, and a delicate color, and the wine is light and refreshing. Dark red fruits like pomegranate and morello cherry are balanced by a dark floral spice with notes of cinnamon and pepper. A light to medium bodied wine with low tannins, good acidity, and a delicate but long finish.

San Biaigio is the sole historic Pelaverga Verduno producer with vineyards in the La Morra village. They have produced this wine since the 70s. According to Ian D’Agata, in speaking to a class in 2023, there are 30 hectares in the DOC planted to Pelaverga, 25.18ha in Verduno, 3.96ha in Roddi d’Alba, and 1.62ha in La Morra (almost exclusively San Biagio). If you can find a bottle, buy a bottle!

Nebbiolo
Ripe but balanced with purity of fruit flavors, wild boysenberry, cherry, and red plum. A medium-bodied wine with the right combination of tannin and approachable fruit. An elegant expression of Nebbiolo.

Nebbiolo
The wine is bright and perfumed with crushed berries and flowers, followed by earthy aromatics of forest floor, wood, leather, and balsamic. The palate has a high-toned but elegant structure with chewy tannins and a long finish that grows with time in the bottle.

With 6-7 weeks on the skins, this slow maturation process brings out the details in this lovely wine. Aged for 18 months in neutral French tonneau barrels followed by an additional 12 months in larger Slavonia oak before bottling. High on the slope north of the village of La Morra, most of this ideal growing site was planted in the 60s.

Nebbiolo
Austere, complex, and ethereal with aromas of chocolate, berries, and earthy spices. The nose is followed by a full-bodied palate with firm tannins and a classic, powerful finish. Decanting will help relax the tannins.

Their Iconic wine with alluring bright red fruits, rose, and spice unfolding on the nose. Polished tannins coat the palate, expressing juicy cherry, rhubarb, cacao, licorice, tobacco, and leather. A pleasing finish that develops with age.
