Vicus is produced from the estate vineyards of Tenuta Cavalier Pepe in the heart of the Campania region. The Pepe family vineyards reside in the best DOCGs; Taurasi, Avellino, and Tufo, and the Irpinia DOC at elevations between 1200-1700 feet above sea level on volcanic and calcareous soils. Angelo Pepe’s daughter, Milena, is a graduate of Viticulture and Oenology in France and started making the family wines and running the estate in 2005.
